Dear Ilan,
I hope you are well and rested from the recent 2-week tour of Israel you undertook as our guide. I would like to echo the sentiments so eloquently expressed by our Winnipeg group co-leader Rev Gordon Taylor, and in fluid detail, by our videographer Doug Purdey. For me personally, this was an epiphany to be under the tutelage of yourself, Rev Stan Lucyk, his son Jeremy and our own Rev Gord Taylor. I experienced first hand some of the excitement the three disciples felt when they witnessed Jesus being visited by Moses and Elijah on the Mount Tabor. They were filled with ecstasy. (Luke 9: 28-33).
I may have mentioned before, this tour exceeded all my expectations and corrected any preconceived notions I may have had about Israel. I learnt so much and felt so thrilled at witnessing the rich history of the Bible, the Holy Land, both ancient and recent. I can now say with pride that “I was there”. And you, Ilan Adler, were the gel that held us all together, enraptured by your eagerness to share your wisdom, knowledge and experience. For that, on behalf of all the others, I thank you very greatly.
Footnote: not only did you make me/us feel comfortable and “at home”, but at no time on this tour, did I feel unsafe or insecure. It felt good to walk in the footsteps of Jesus of Nazareth, the builder’s son. I would definitely consider returning in future with you as my tour guide. Greetings from your New Friends, from the Rev. Dr. Stanford Lucyk and Rev. Dr. Gordon Taylor, "Israel Pilgrimage Tour", from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, who wanted to report to your visitors to your website, that you were and ARE AN EXCELLENT Tour Guide. WE have enjoyed your absolute knowledge of Israel in its many forms of nature, cities, history, culture, modern and ancient times and places. There were 20 people in our small group, including folks from Ontario, Canada and the mid-west US. WE all appreciated and were joyfully over whelmed with the entire tour, you led over the 14 days. This included your education and sharing of the Jewish People's long and ancient History, the places of King Herod's achievements, the Christian History, focusing on Jesus Christ's journey from his simple beginning of life, life with his Disciples, and his Mission through his teachings. Our tour also included the modern Israel, in many of it's cities from Tel Aviv to the Tel Dan area, from borders to the north, to the Negev in the south, the natural ruggedness and amazing topography, including the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea floating experience, and of course the icing on top of the cake, the famous City of Gold, Jerusalem. The four days in Jerusalem were just about more than we could imagine, because of its famous history (and infamous) history. Ilan could explain so much to us, as we appreciated his knowledge of speaking to us in English, very clearly for our positive experience.
So many Worship sites we visited with such an extensive explanation, brought our knowledge of the Holy Bible, into High Definition. Ilan was magnificent in the flow of our tour.
Ilan was able to deliver, consistently every day his energy, patience, and confidence, that transferred to us, into an amazing tour. He also was very compassionate to our varied group and abilities, was very flexible with our varied weather and the road conditions, which caused our tour to be some days modified. Ilan was a gracious listener, and has a sense of humor, and TRULY LOVES his new career, on top of his professional achievements. I am certain that Ilan is "Way ABOVE the average Tour Guide" you could hire for a tour of Israel. Because of Ilan, our group tour to Israel, can claim that this experience "was ABOVE our expectations". WE were always safe, together, never lost, always on the go with excitement and adventure running through our veins, making us feel youthful like college students on a mission of history and on a Biblical Pilgrimage. There were many, many WOW moments during our tour, led by Ilan and our Tour Mentors. One leader said, that he learned more (75% more) on this tour, than his previous tour of Israel , just 5 years earlier. Am calatorit impreuna cu un grup de turisti pe la locurile sfinte... cu acest prilej am cunoscut pe dl Ilan Adler, ghidul nostru, un vorbitor de limba romana, un om inteligent, rabdator, politicos si respectuos fata de orice religie si fata de orice om indiferent din ce tara ar fi provenit... bun organizator... recomand cu caldura sa folositi serviciile dlui Ilan Adler... servicii la care vom apela din nou daca viata ne va purta pe drumurile Israelului... apoi am cunoscut pe dl Issa... Reiteram aprecierile si multumirile noastre pentru modul in care ai ajutat grupul de turisti romani aflati in Israel, in perioada 30 aprilie – 06 mai a.c., sa cunoasca si sa inteleaga mai bine nu numai istoria credintei lor, ci si pe a celorlalte cu care se infrateste pe Pamantul Sfant – iudaismul si islamismul.
Ne permitem sa-ti vorbim la persoana intai deoarece, in putinul timp petrecut impreuna, ai reusit, prin calitatile tale, sa devii un membru al familiei noastre.
Pe baza unei vaste experiente in munca cu oamenii, am apreciat, din primul moment, calitatíle tale intrinseci : istetimea, volubilitatea, diplomatia, umorul fin, camaraderia. Am adauga la acestea, nivelul ridicat al instructiei si educatiei, talentul pedagogic si abilitatile de comunicare, empatia si atentia distributiva.
Am simtit permanent placerea cu care ai lucrat cu grupul nostru, bucuria de a ne transmite mult mai multe informatii decat cele legate de obiectivele din program si, mai ales, preocuparea ca fiecare dintre noi sa depaseasca cu bine dificultatile fizice impuse de parcurgerea unor etape ale traseului.
Noi am avut multi colegi de facultate evrei, nascuti si formati in Romania, care au plecat din tara dupa terminarea facultatii, unii chiar stabiliti in Israel, cu care ne mai revedem, din pacate destul de rar. Deci avem mai multe informatii despre munca si viata in Israel decat cele strict oficiale. Cu toate acestea activitatea ta ne-a facut sa cunoastem mai bine istoria, realizarile si nazuintele poporului evreu si, pe aceasta baza, sa intarim relatiile noastre de prietenie. Deci, aceasta excursie ne-a limpezit imaginea pe care o aveam despre poporul israelian care este un popor cu o viziune clara asupra lumii contemporane, harnic, tenace si corect.
Iti multumim, inca odata, pentru munca si daruirea ta si speram sa ne revedem cat mai curand.

I had never been on a touring holiday with a group of strangers before, and really did not know what to expect, but in truth the whole week could not have been more amazing, and most of that was due to your fantastic skills as our tour guide. On 1st February we visited the Holy Land on a tour booked through Fleetway Travel, undertaken with Ophir Tours. It was a 7 day tour of the Holy Land based in Tel Aviv, the Sea of Galilee and Jerusalem. During this tour Ilan Adler was our guide and it is his excellent service that has prompted us to write to you. Ilan made the tour into a once in a lifetime experience and we cannot commend him to you highly enough. He fulfilled all of the responsibilities you would expect of a tour guide and more. He quickly got to know everyone in the party and made sure all were catered for at all times. He adopted a friendly, genuine, professional and caring approach tailoring the experience to suit everyone’s needs; nothing was too much trouble for Ilan. It was a busy itinery but we never felt rushed and Ilan’s extensive knowledge and genuine pride and passion for his country were clearly evident. In addition he is just a thoroughly nice person to spend time with. He certainly made our visit into an exceptional and very special experience. Hello Richard.
I travelled with a friend to the Holyland 1/2/18 as our second trip, the previous one being with a Christian organisation. We love Israel and knew that we need to learn more by visiting again. Ilan was fantastic, not only did he help us with our understanding further but also added to explanations from his upbringing and learning more about the culture. He was amazing and went above and beyond our expectations. On the last day he even helped us find the FOZ museum and walked us into Jerusalem. We were able to visit Christ Church as another bonus. If ever I return to Israel, which I would love to do, I would also love to have Ilan as my guide again.
You have a treasure with Ilan and an exemplary employee and I know that the whole group felt the same. He has even communicated with us since our trip which is unheard of and definitely not something that has happened previously
Keep hold of him and use him for as many English trips as possible so that others can benefit from his knowledge and help.

So many memories, so much to think about!
We’ve just returned from a fabulous tour of the Holy Land, booked with Fleetway. Every step of the way was well organised and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. A very special mention to Ilan our guide...it is rare to meet someone with as much enthusiasm, knowledge, humour and sensitivity. The Bible stories really came alive and his passion for his country is obvious....the people, geography, politics, food, culture, history, religion....it’s left me with so many memories and so much to think about! "Our Israel guide October 2017"
A group of 20 friends visited Israel in October 2017. Most of our group has traveled from Asia to Europe, to North and South America, to Africa and Australia. Upon meeting Ilan Adler, our Israeli tour guide, we unanimously concluded that we were very fortunate to have his services. He explained the history and geography of Isreal with fervor. We questioned his perspective with many inquiries of opposing views and each time he patiently used the depth of his knowledge to straighten out facts from fiction. He was not offended by even our most pointed queries. Even after our tour, a couple of people stayed longer in Isreal and when we texted him with questions, not only did he reply, he encouraged our curiosity.
Ilan was very accomodating and rerouted our tour to add other points of interest. We would have missed the town of Haifa had he not been extremely cooperative. He also went out of his way to find appropriate foods for some of us with dietary restrictions.
We all decided that if any of our friends and family decide to visit Israel we would definitely be recommending Ilan. In 10 days he had become a part of our family, to the point that we have invited Ilan and his family to stay with us in Chicago the next time they visit the US.

It is our 9'Th time we come to Israel, Jerusalem and we absolutely adore this Holy Land and this amazing place. We really enjoyed every bit of Israel has to offer. Yes, indeed there is the Balagns, the craziness but most of all there is the beauty, the diversity of the culture and people, we loved every bit of it. Every time we come we have the experience which is very unique and different.
And this time made it most very significant for us as a group from Australia and from China is our Tour Guide Ilan. I am so thankful for Hashem for this person, his character, integrity, his willing to work with people and care to details and also very specifically following what we wanted to see and the instructions. Ilan does his job not just excellent but exceedingly excellent. We really enjoyed his friendship and also his care and his of taking care of my team, which made our job as Tour Leader and journey much easier. It is amazing to work with people that can work well with you and even though we come from a very vast different culture it seems we know each other for years and this is what we enjoyed and appreciate - the uniqueness of Ilan.
We have worked with many people around the world and particularly with lots of land operators, tour guides and drivers in this land. By taking many teams and groups I find that the uniqueness of Ilan is that he really cares and he really loves to share his nation with people coming from different perspectives. I loved the way he respects each people opinion while not losing his own love, passion and faith in his own state Israel and this land.
Ilan's gentleness, his balance and the friendship that he shows is very unique. So we really enjoyed his company. We enjoyed his character and we would love to go to Israel with him again.

We met Ilan Tuesday morning at breakfast and from then it was non stop. His soul and passion for sharing his profound knowledge with us was a privilege and his knowledge was limitless. My husband and I have just returned from an amazing week in Israel where our tour guide for much of the time was Ilan Adler. I would just like you to know that he was a fantastic guide; the breadth and depth of his knowledge on a wide variety of subjects was excellent and he displayed great cultural and religious sensitivity. He was always willing to answer questions – in fact he actively encouraged them – and he was seldom stuck for an answer. My only regret was that he did not accompany us on the final, optional, trip to Masada where I know he would have openly engaged with the archaeological and historical issues surrounding the site and not just given us a memorised lecture as the actual guide we had did!
I cannot recommend Ilan highly enough.
